Gday I'm Joel Watson, the owner operator of Watsons Painting and Decorating, I am an experienced, trade qualified, licenced and insured Painter, Decorator and Project Manager.
We're family operated with a team of highly skilled and dedicated tradesmen and tradeswomen.
I commenced in Sydney learning the trade and working with other tradesmen whilst studying the painting and decorating craft at Ultimo college.
Upon graduation in 2006 I received a certificate of excellence in training.
During the next several years I travelled around Australia, the UK and elsewhere and built upon my experience finishing and refurbishing an extensive
number of mainly older properties and buildings in both the residential and commercial sector.
I know an excellent painter is more than someone who just applies paint to surfaces.
The craft involves excelling at creating and communicating the vision with the owners before commencement, sound knowledge of paint products, texture and colours, punctuality,
removal of furniture and protection including the masking off of floors and or remaining furniture with dropsheets, ongoing communication, solid preparation,
quality and consistent application of paints, a timely completion, and a thorough clean up and tidy afterwards. All of which we carry out on all of our painting and repair projects.

I have an enduring passion working with paints and colour still to this day, 18 years later and find the completed work is extremely satisfying for both myself and clients.
Approaching a property in some need of some real love and turning it around into something beautiful, to me is the best profession in the world!
I am also completing my certification in Carpentry/ Building and should be qualified mid 2025 so then our services will be fully operational as a niche one stop shop for the paintwork and repairs
on each property providing incredible efficiency and convenience for our customers.
